My name is Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim. I’m a young Somali entrepreneur, a university student, and someone who fell in love with WordPress from the very first time I used it.
When I started my journey online, I didn’t know anything about websites. All I had was a goal: to build something meaningful. I wanted to create a website that represented me, helped others, and maybe even turned into a small online business. That dream led me to WordPress.
At first, I was confused. What is hosting? What’s the difference between a theme and a plugin? I didn’t understand any of it. But I didn’t stop. I watched YouTube tutorials, read blog posts, and asked questions. Every time I learned something new—whether it was how to install a plugin or customize a homepage—it felt like a small victory.
One of the first things I built was a simple blog. I wanted to write about what I was learning: business, crypto, and personal growth. Later, I added a store where I could display my products—clothes, shoes, and everyday items. WordPress gave me the tools to grow slowly, step by step.
As I continued, I faced challenges. Sometimes my site wouldn’t load. Plugins would clash. I made mistakes and had to start over more than once. But every error taught me something. I learned how to make backups, fix bugs, and even improve my site’s speed and SEO.
What helped me most was using tools like Elementor, Rank Math, and ConvertKit. With Elementor, I could design pages without needing to code. With Rank Math, I learned how to improve my content for Google. And with ConvertKit, I began building my email list and growing my brand.
WordPress helped me grow not just as a web creator, but as a person. I became more confident. I started thinking like a business owner. I learned how to manage time, communicate better, and solve problems on my own. Today, I’m still learning and growing. I run my store, write blog posts, and do affiliate marketing. I also share what I know with others who are just starting. I want to become a full-time online entrepreneur, someone who helps others succeed and builds a future using knowledge and faith.
Outside of WordPress, I’m a university student in Statistics and Planning. I believe everything is connected—what I study in class, what I learn online, and how I build my future. With every small step I take, I get closer to my goals. If you’re just starting with WordPress, my advice is this: don’t be afraid. You don’t need to know everything at once. Just start. Learn little by little. Stay patient. Your journey will shape you, and one day you’ll look back and see how far you’ve come.
